Matt Wertz

I've known Matt Wertz for awhile. We've moved in the same social circles here in Nashville, sat down for coffee, etc. I enjoy his humor, his kindness, and how he serves others. Yet I'd never happened to listen to his music until recently..

Matt invited me to play drums at a show he was doing here in town, and so I began going through his songs.. And when I started listening, my head started bouncing, my feet started moving, and I found it difficult to make any progress on charting these tunes because my hands kept drumming on the table, barely staying still long enough for me to make any notation. The groove of his music was irresistible, and I loved it!

And it was even greater fun playing this stuff live. I was happy to get a chance to work with this guy.
