Drums in Space

Awhile back, my friend Andrew Osenga had a far-out idea for a concept record about a man in the future who, after losing his wife, decides to take a job driving a long-distance space freighter. The man brings along some antique instruments and recording equipment, and makes an album.

So Andrew actually built a spaceship in Nashville, and recorded the entire project inside of it. Crazy!... and really cool.

He played just about every instrument on it, but brought me in to play drums on a couple of more intense (wild) tunes. Mixed by Vance Powell, "Leonard the Lonely Astronaut" should be released this fall.
